The Gallery
The Gallery at CMAP Studios presents work by artists from Gilroy, Hollister, San Juan Bautista, and neighboring areas, providing a space to connect creative work with the community. Artists display a wide range of work, including paintings, photography, sculptures, and digital art. Kainoa Andry
Kainoa Andry is an artist based in Morgan Hill, specializing in floral and landscape paintings. She draws inspiration from the beauty God has created and the way nature points us back to Him. Each piece is created with prayer and intention, with the hope of bringing hope, encouragement, and joy to others.

Joe Azevedo
Joe Azevedo is a California-based photographer with a lifelong connection to art and creativity. Inspired by his parents’ work in drawing and photography, he returned to photography later in life, focusing on landscapes and quiet moments outdoors. He enjoys shooting in the early morning and after dark, always aiming to capture not just an image, but the feeling of being there.
Jeff Bentz
Jeff Bentz is a photographer whose work has been shaped by a lifelong connection to the natural world. Growing up among the serene landscapes of Northern California and spending time in Hawaii, he developed a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty. That connection continues to influence his artistic vision and inspires him to explore the hidden beauty in every place he visits.

Luke Berta
Luke Berta is an 11-year-old artist who creates three-dimensional art, including his own costumes and animatronics. He loves building and bringing his ideas to life through hands-on creativity. Always experimenting and learning, Luke approaches his art with curiosity and joy, and he is excited to share his work and connect with others. We were so impressed by Luke that we produced a short feature film documenting his art and creative process (view film below). The film played a role in his acceptance to a prestigious Bay Area school, where he is now pursuing his creative endeavors.

Paul Bika
BIKA is a Canadian Caribbean artist born in Haiti. His name comes from a childhood nickname inspired by the marble shooter in marbles. After the loss of his daughter in 1990, he turned to painting as a form of healing, transforming his background in graphic design into a lifelong fine art practice. Rooted in color, folklore, and Judeo-Christian spirituality, BIKA’s work seeks to inspire beauty, wonder, and hope.
Sheryl Cathers
Sherly Cathers is a local artist based in Gilroy, California, working in oil, acrylic, and pencil to create paintings, murals, and commissioned artwork. She spent 18 years teaching art at St. Mary School in Gilroy and opened Dabble Art Center in 2010 to share her love of art with the community. Many of her murals can be found throughout the city. When she’s not painting or teaching, Sherly enjoys traveling, sailing, scuba diving, and spending time near the sea with her husband, Jeff.

Davide China
Davide China is a photographer based in San Jose, California. Raised in a multigenerational Italian household in New York, his cultural roots, along with the music, fashion, and pop culture of the 1950s and ’60s, have deeply shaped his creative perspective. From the moment he picked up a camera, photography became his passion and life’s work. His portfolio spans editorial, fashion conceptual, food, and fine art child portraiture, all connected by light, emotion, and a strong sense of time and place.

Joel Mendoza
Joel Mendoza was born in Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica. A U.S. Navy veteran, he is now pursuing his dream of becoming an artist. For Joel, creating art offers freedom and serves as a form of therapy. He hopes to inspire others to embrace their creativity and follow their passions and dreams.

Carol Peters
Carol Peters is a Gilroy-based artist and longtime art educator. After 30 years teaching painting and drawing at Gilroy High School, she now focuses on creating vibrant artwork and community murals, while sharing her passion for creativity through her local TV show, Carol on Creativity.
Venecia Prudencio
Venecia Prudencio is a multidisciplinary Latinx artist (they/she) with a passion for community-centered and activist art. Their practice spans illustration, graphic design, and mural design, including experience with merchandise, packaging, and large-scale murals. In addition to their creative work, they teach art at local K–8 schools and continue to develop their personal brand, Coping Artist.

Eli Sanchez
Eli is an artist based in Watsonville, California. Primarily working in ink, he also explores acrylic paint, watercolor, and oil pastels. His work ranges from personal reflections and re-creations of famous characters to simple doodles, all unified by authenticity and vulnerability. Art has been a means for Eli to process grief, providing a space for self-expression and growth. He strives to create pieces that are both visually compelling and true to himself, offering resonance and connection for others.

Anabella Velasquez
Anabella is a Mexican Indigenous artist who works primarily in oil on red-base canvases. Alfredo Yuriar
Alfredo Yuriar is a visual artist from Gilroy who works in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and tattoo art. He has been painting and tattooing for over 20 years.
